Bad news for teachers in South Africa next year
Due to the projected increase in workload in the 2008 year, thanks to the new master schedule and the No Child Left Unattended Act passed earlier in 2007, the National Department of Education has decided that it can no longer afford for teachers to take time out of their busy schedules to go to the restroom. Instead, to increase teacher efficiency the department has gone to considerable expense to remodel classrooms over the winter period to accommodate the restroom needs of teachers, starting in January next year.
