Concert to save the SA Youth Choir
Staff Writer

SUNDAY 25 MARCH, 17:00 at the CAPE TOWN CITY HALL, South Africa's exciting young soprano, Zanne Stapelberg and the South African Youth Choir (conducted by André van der Merwe) combine forces for a life-changing fund-raising concert.

The South African Youth Choir (previously known as the Fidentia South African Youth Choir)

  • is a first for South Africa

  • of the country, reflecting the true demographics of South Africa
  • hosts members who also come from disadvantaged rural areas (a few members are Aids orphans)
  • performs music of international standard and is a true export product for the country.

All funding to the choir was stopped without warning and with immediate effect, making these exceptionally talented members innocent victims, who now are facing their worst nightmare of possibly being sent away from their dream ...
