Athlone North Primary is among the first of a number of schools under the WCED Khanya Special Project to recently obtain the powerful e-SCHOOL and MathPRO educational software bundle package, designed and produced by South African-based EvaluNet (Pty) Ltd.
Approved by the WCED and Khanya for many years, EvaluNet has once again made its top-selling software available to Khanya labs throughout the Western Cape. “Our latest release of
e-SCHOOL and MathPRO now includes new features and tools ensuring that both learners and teachers benefit from using our software,” says EvaluNet MD Dereck Marnewick. “We have dedicated over ten years of intensive research and development to ensure that our products are what learners and teachers need and want.”
e-SCHOOL and MathPRO are fully aligned to the current National Curriculum Statement and also fully OBE compliant. More than 90 South African teachers were involved in the development of the products and EvaluNet has a user base of over 400 schools nationwide.
Through a direct initiative with Aron’s Education Promotions Agency, based in Belhar and Montana, the EvaluNet software bundle is actively being promoted to schools in the process of acquiring Khanya IT labs. “When it comes to curriculum delivery software, we believe that an informed decision is vital for the ongoing use and interest in any computer centre. It is for this reason that AEPA has decided to promote EvaluNet’s products and services,” says AEPA MD Eddie
Snyders.
A school principal for over 20 years and currently serving on the South African Booksellers Association committee, Snyders knows well that teachers are struggling to cope with increasing class sizes, changes in the curriculum and other pressures faced on a daily basis in schools. “The design of EvaluNet’s software bundle is to help teachers save valuable time and help learners increase their numeracy and literacy skills as well as increase their results in all learning areas. I believe education is a right, and not a privilege. For the thousands of learners currently using e-SCHOOL and MathPRO, this right has already become a reality, but I would like to see learners from the Western Cape also benefit from making use of this software. We are going out to schools in full force to ensure that teachers can see the capabilities of EvaluNet’s software bundle first-hand.”
