XT Workshops launch

There are over 200 schools across South Africa making use of our unique assessment management tool – XT. Last year, we hosted XT user groups and piloted some workshops to find out what our customers really need out of our software and services. We then spent many months planning and developing and we’re proud to launch the start of our new workshop series that aim to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills to successfully implement XT as an everyday, time-saving productivity tool.

There are three types of workshops: XT Beginner, XT Intermediate and XT Advanced. Yes, we know that we could have been a tad more creative with the names, but we wanted our workshops to be labeled clearly so that you know where you will fit in.

The XT Beginner Workshops are suited to teachers who know little or nothing about XT, and who have basic computer literacy skills. Attending an XT Beginner Workshop will give you the confidence to start using XT. The Intermediate and Advanced workshops focus on implementation and encourage creativity and sharing amongst teachers.

Where and when …

We are hosting 4 XT Beginner Workshops in Cape Town during the first school term. For more information and to register (if your school is an XT customer), click on the venue closest to you:

3 February – Kenridge Primary School
17 February – Wynberg Boys’ High School
3 March – Tamboerskloof Primary School
10 March – Portia Primary School

Why XT workshops?

After listening to our customers at the user groups we hosted last year, we realised that most were very satisfied with the features, capabilities and benefits of XT. The biggest gap appeared to be product training and implementation assistance. We are now giving teachers the opportunity for professional development through our XT workshops and to fill the need for additional product training.

I applaud your initiative. Too many software products installed in our schools are under-utilized. It is only training, training and then more training that can help to turn this situation around. When vendors take the initiative to offer workshops of this nature, it is a clear indication that they are not only interested in selling their products, but in helping teachers (and ultimately learners) to benefit from what technology offers.

Thanks Kobus. We’ve changed our business model. We are no longer offering a ‘product’. What we are offering, is a SOLUTION. The ‘product’ (XT) is a big part of the solution, but the real kicker is the service, the training and the support. And not just generic service, training and support, but rather service, training and support that is customised and tailored to meet the REAL needs of each and every school.
